A BOP Test Unit is comprised of a diesel powered motor, a triplex pump, hoses, fittings, and usually comes with a chart recorder. These testing units can be skid or trailer mounted. A testing unit can test as low as 300# and as high as 30K PSI. The most common unit size for onshore drilling can generate up to 20K, with higher test rates for offshore purposes.
